The Sunburst #ShareYourShutters Winner for Fall 2017

Stefano Diotaiuti

Congrats to the latest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters features two rooms in her home decked out with stunning new Polywood faux wood plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Chelsey, better known on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based interior designer with an eye for color in her home design. A quick look at her home shows how she intersperses neutrals and vivid colors for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but at the same time incredibly stylish.

She even offered a few pieces of advice for DIYers in Nashville and around the country:

  • Have a color scheme in mind. When you decorate a room, you can always adjust colors to accessorize it. Be sure to utilize hues either from your home’s color pallet or ones that will accentuate it.

  • Be flexible in your use of colors. I picked shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture is gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So I decided to mix in pops of white and color accents.

Not only does Chelsey have a great eye for color, but the use of space in her design is fantastic too. From the placement of her chairs that lead the eyes right up to the wall and her plantation shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s house is fashionable, practical, and very livable without ever looking overdecorated.

As our contest winner for Fall, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see her entire body of work, click over to her design site at

And if you believe the shutters in your home look great enough to be our next winner, post a photo of them online with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. Let’s get another Nashville homeowner to take next season’s prize!
